Project and resource management system ( PRM ) for small and medium size businesses.

Every business needs a good system for project and resource management; and there are plenty available on the market, but… yes, there is a "but"! Small and medium size businesses cannot afford a big ERP or MRP system, both because of the system's purchase cost and it's implementation and maintenance cost. At the same time, the systems they can afford do not have all the needed features, such as optimized planning and work management support, material and human resources management, suppliers and customers management, project cost management and so on.

The solution is Project and Resource Management system ( PRM )!

PRM allows for an enterprise to perform detailed descriptions and management of:

  • Organization structure ( departments, employees, permanent and temporary employee groups, even a temporary group for a specific project ).
  • Organization and projects working calendars.
  • Warehouse ( classification, placement, input-output operations ).
  • Resources ( human resources according to organization structure, material resources, including buildings and equipment, and so on ).
  • Suppliers of material resources or services.
  • Customers.
  • Organization projects.

The PRM system provides a very friendly user interface ( simple drag-and-drop and tabbed property pages ) for graphical project description including the projects' works, works' relations and needed resources:

  • Every project work can be described by needed time or by needed work amount.
  • For every project work different executors and execution styles can be defined.
  • Project structure description can be not calendar-bound and can be considered as floating according to the desired start date.

All the project properties not being defined on the project description stage can be automatically calculated using given optimization criterion. It is possible to enter the state for performed or performing works and have the project recalculated to exactly  reflect the current situation. In addition, every project calculation performs in tight coupling with all the other organization's projects, resources and calendars.

Project calculation and optimization performs with original method of multiresource optimization with limited resources.

The PRM system provides a quick answer for a most useful questions:

  • Do we have enough resources to execute the project by the given date?
  • Which resources do we need to have our project executed by the given date?
  • Which project end date is realistic with given resources set?
  • Which executor would be more effective for the given work ( project )?
